Robot-Based Inspection Facilities
Ultrasonic investigation of complex shaped components such as those used in the aerospace sector is a hard challenge. In cooperation with our partners we have developed facilities with robot-based scanning systems consisting of 10 independent axes for these and other challenging applications. These systems enable automated investigations of freeform components of variable thickness.
For air-coupled investigations of freeform components, we offer our proven USPC 4000 AirTech inspection system (Link auf 1.3.2 AirTech Prüfsysteme/E) with a 10-axis robot technology. The inspection is carried out using through-transmission technique with two opposite AirTech probes. Figure 1 shows the system with an application example.
